A one-woman show where opera meets survival, storytelling and breath.

About

When soprano Katy Lees was given months to live, she replied:

“Fine. I’ll have 600.”

Breathe is a one-woman theatre piece combining storytelling and opera, created and performed by Katy Lees, one of the UK’s longest-living survivors of mesothelioma. Drawing on five operatic arias by composers including Puccini, Mozart, Verdi, Bellini, and Bernstein, the show explores voice as a place of intensity, resilience and truth.
